Born with the aim of creating alliances with other interlocutors and Associations, working jointly in the recycling chain of paper and cardboard, and to define common aims to be reached. The latest aim is to create value-length throughout the chain, contributing to the good functioning and improvement of the already successfu paper and cardborard recycling system.
The twelve companies that nowadays participate in the Bureau, entail more than 55% of the recovery of paper and cardboard in Spain.
Any company that manages wastes of other companies and has at least one recovery storage of paper and cardboard in Spain, can adhere to the Decalogue for a New Recovery of Paper and Cardboard and being part of the New Recovery Table.
The three main work areas defined by the members of the Bureau will rely on the legislative aspects and the sectoral strategies; technology, quality procedures and R & D, statistics and communication.
In the legislative and sectorial estrategy fields, the work will focus initially on promoting the biggest possible homogeneity between Autonomous Entities in the autonomic development of the new regulation of residues transport and in ellaborating a catalogue of intrusive practices on the sector.
Improving the quality of the paper and cardboard that the recovery storages get from their sources is another priority for the New Recovery Bureau, as well as assuring a different taxation for the final treatment of the recycling residues. The Bureau also works on the next publishing of the first statistics on the paper and cardboard recovery since data from the own recuperators.
